Dedicated Breeder

Greetings, Corgi Enthusiasts! I am Laura Shaver, a passionate hobby breeder of AKC Pembroke Welsh Corgis, nestled in the picturesque region of Northern California. My journey with these incredible dogs began in 1997, and since 2011, I have been dedicated to breeding and raising corgi puppies with upmost care and attention. At my home, I welcome two to three litters each year, ensuring every puppy is raised in a loving and nurturing environment. My esteemed corgi family includes Teddy, Elle, Buttercup, and Zuko, all of whom are integral to our home. I am unwaveringly committed to raising well-adjusted and healthy puppies. Our breeding program ensures none of our puppies will be at risk for developing degenerative myelopathy, as Elle, Buttercup, Zuko, and Teddy are DM, EIC, Vwd1, and PRA clear. Teddy boasts OFA Excellent hips and normal eye certification, while Elle's hips are rated Penn Hip Good with normal eye certifications. Zuko also has normal eye certifications and OFA Good hips. Looking ahead to Fall 2025, we are excited to pair Buttercup, whose eye certifications are normal, and hips rated OFA Good, with Zuko. This pairing promises an exceptional litter with beautiful red and sable puppies.
Breeding these wonderful dogs is a true labor of love. I am committed to producing healthy, happy, and well-socialized puppies that embody the spirit and quality of the Pembroke Welsh Corgi breed. Join us on this incredible journey and welcome an Emerald Corgi into your family!
Purchasing A Puppy
I am pleased to offer my precious corgi puppies for $2500-$3000. These delightful companions come with limited AKC registration, as my goal is for them to become cherished pets rather than breeding dogs. It is required that they be spayed or neutered at 18 months of age to ensure their well-being and the integrity of the breed. Each puppy is accompanied by a one-year health guarantee from the date of birth, covering any life-threatening congenital defects. They receive proper veterinary care, including deworming, first vaccinations, and a thorough health check. Additionally, their tails will be docked, and dew claws removed to adhere to breed standards. When a puppy becomes available, I accept a $500 non-refundable deposit to secure your new family member. The remaining balance is due in cash upon pick-up. As a proud member of Good Dog, I offer secure payment options through my Good Dog account. While there are fees for these services, they provide buyer protection and access to puppy training resources, though you may opt-out of these fees if preferred. I currently don't have any available puppies at this time. However, we will be pairing our Buttercup & Zuko for a litter due hopefully in June 2025. For more details and updates, please feel free to reach out to me via my email, cell, or good dog page. Thank you for considering one of my beloved corgis to be a part of your family.

I Contacted Emerald Corgis about a puppy and Laura Shaber responded right-a-way and answered all of my questions. She put me on a waiting list and once she had a new litter of puppies, she let me know I was in line for one of the puppies. Throughout the waiting period for the puppies to be old enough to go to their new homes, Laura constantly shared reels and photos on Instagram so I was able to watch the puppies grow and develop. She kept me informed as to their progress and made me feel involved. Laura went out of her way to ensure I was matched with the best puppy for me. On the day I picked up my puppy, Laura had all the paperwork ready including vet records for me to take to my vet. Laura was also very helpful in answering questions afterwards and welcomed my calls and texts. I would highly recommend Emerald Corgis and Laura Shaver as a very reputable Corgi breeder. I now have a 10-week-old Male corgi puppy and couldn't be happier. Thank you, Laura. Jane (Santa Rosa, Ca)

I had an amazing experience with Emerald Corgis! The breeder went above and beyond to communicate with me throughout the entire process, keeping me updated about my puppy until I picked her up. She was incredibly thorough and provided all the information needed to care for my new puppy. It's clear she truly cares about the corgi breed and is extremely knowledgeable. Her dedication and love for these dogs shine through in every aspect of her work. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend Emerald Corgis.

Corgis have been members of our family for many years, so when we lost our last Pembroke, we were fortunate that Laura had puppies available. She listened to our needs patiently and matched us with our wonderful new puppy, Georgie. He is healthy, happy, and adjusting very well to his new home. Throughout the process Laura was very attentive and easy to communicate with. She kept us updated with pics and videos while we waited to pick up Georgie. We wouldn't hesitate to adopt another Corgi from Laura.
